Chocolate plus mint: classic flavor combination! Some people like their chocolate with berries or other fruit added, but for me, chocolate plus mint is my number one. And, peppermint herb is so easy to grow in warmer months, in fact it is a weed to many ways of thinking. Here's a refreshing smoothie to use some of that garden mint before the grasshoppers have their way with it. Chocolate Mint Smoothie is protein-rich with plant-based protein from Sun Warrior, Warrior Blend Vanilla, a touch of almond butter and chia seeds for additional protein and healthy fats, which also help enrich the smoothie making it thick and creamy.

Chocolate Mint Protein Smoothie

I use Vanilla flavoried Sun Warrior Warrior Blend Protein but you can use Chocolate Flavor protein powder and halve the amount of cacao powder to taste. The reason I use Vanilla is because I have it available at all times in my pantry for the majority of my smoothies. I love adding cacao to my recipes (instead of cocoa powder) because cacao is less processed and may include additional undamaged antioxidant benefits.

Give your shake plenty of ice since there are no other frozen elements and this will thicken it up like a milkshake.
