Warm Spring and Summer weather means the onset of smoothie season and by making smoothies with a healthy plant-based protein source, along with a myriad of antioxidant and fiber filled fruit and vegetables, a smoothie becomes a full meal replacement, satiating and nourishing the body for hours.
This Berry Bliss Superfood Smoothie is my old standby. It never gets old in taste, yet it always promises to bring me energy and a vibrant feeling from the antioxidant-rich blueberries, açaí, spinach, and touch of cacao. Chia seeds provide a great source of Omega-3's, and Sun Warrior-Warrior Blend Protein provides, well, the protein. Vegan, gluten-free, full of flavor. This is my favorite Summer breakfast.
